The Future Firebirds is a Learn-To-Play / Skill Development program designed to introduce new players to hockey and also enhance the skills of players wanting to gain more experience / knowledge of the game. Skills taught are basic power skating, stickhandling, puck movement, passing, shooting, working the triangle, offensive and defensive strategies, goaltending, plus many fun games designed to self teach. Ages are 5 to 12, but all are welcome. Also included is an opportunity for new / future coaches to take part and learn. Ice times are Sundays at 9am.
