Flint Iceland Arenas Learn to Skate Program

Whether you are looking to skate recreationally or competitively, play hockey, speed skate or figure skate, we have a program for you! Our Learn to Skate program features the U.S. Figure Skating Basic Skills curriculum. We offer multiple weekly classes year round and participants can join at anytime. The USFS skate program is designed for skaters of all ages and abilities and is progressively structured for skaters from beginner to advanced.

Monday classes begin at 5:00pm and Saturday Classes begin at 9:00am.

Learn to Skate 2016 Schedule

Summer 1 Session 5 weeks

Monday -May 16th, 23rd, June 6th, 13th and 20th
Saturday - May 21st, June 4th, 11th, 18th. Fifth class will be added!

1 day $65.00, 2 days $105.00

No classes May 28th and 30th in recognition of Memorial Day Weekend

Summer 2 Session 5 weeks

Monday -July 11th, 18th, 25th and August 1st and 8th
Saturday -July 16th, 23rd, 30th and August 6th and 13th

1 day a week $65.00 and 2 days a week $105.00

Does your "Learn To Skate" want to try out competitive figure skating. Iceland Competitive Edge Figure Skating Club in conjunction with Flint Iceland Arena, is hosting a Basic Skills competition on Saturday, August 6th. Please click on this link for information and registration.

There is an annual program registration fee of $15, renewable every July 1st.

Parents wanting to skate during free time with their child can pay the $15 annual registration fee to do so.

Important Information

Pease dress your child appropriately. Gloves and warm clothes are recommended. Helmets are a as well, especially for younger children.
